Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies. Civil engineering is the pioneer branch of Engineering. Civil engineering can be justifiable referred to as a mother branch as it continently gets integrated into other branches of engineering. The civil engineering profession offers good opportunities in the various areas like Construction industries, Environmental engineering, Geotechnical, Hydraulics & Water Resources engineering, etc. The program educational objectives of the civil engineering program are designed to produce skilled engineers who are ready to contribute effectively to the advancement of civil engineering profession and are ready to handle the challenges of the profession. Department of Civil engineering has been established in year 2010, being the ever-developing department in the institute, development of laboratories has been undertaken, considering the future research, our strength lies in our well-equipped laboratories.
